What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small files placed on your device. Similar technologies include browser session storage, local storage, caches, and identifiers used by embedded services. They can support delivery, preferences, security, measurement, or advertising. A service being described here does not establish that it is enabled in every deployment or browser.

Our current first-party storage

The website does not currently set its own advertising or analytics cookies and has no active AdSense or visitor analytics integration. Hosting or security services may use operational cookies or identifiers to deliver and protect the website.

Installation preference: the session-storage item nk-install-dismissed remembers that you selected ‘Not now’ for the home-screen suggestion. It is a convenience preference, not an advertising profile, and usually lasts for the browser tab’s session. Browser session restoration can extend that session. Clearing site data removes it.

Offline cache: when the service worker is registered, the browser stores the offline information page and app icons. These remain until replaced by an update or removed using browser controls. The worker does not intentionally cache contact messages, form submissions, payment instructions, donation QR assets, or third-party videos. Installation and cache behaviour depend on browser support.

YouTube and other external services

Video cards load official privacy-enhanced YouTube players as they approach the screen. This can connect to YouTube before playback; privacy-enhanced mode is not a promise of zero cookies, device storage, or data processing. YouTube may use storage and technical identifiers for player functionality, security, and playback. Exact names and lifetimes depend on the player, account state, browser, and Google’s current practices. The separate watch-page player loads after Play is selected.

Instagram, Facebook, X, WhatsApp, and payment services apply their own cookies and policies when you open their links. Cloudflare Turnstile, where configured on enquiry forms, may process security signals and use related technologies. Its use does not grant advertising consent. Embedded video previews currently load without a site-wide media preference switch.

Future AdSense and advertising cookies

If AdSense is enabled, Google and other identified advertising vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers for ad delivery, personalisation, measurement, and fraud prevention. Personalisation can depend on earlier visits to this or other websites. If optional advertising tracking is introduced, we will publish the vendors and purposes and provide prior consent, rejection, and withdrawal controls where required before activating it. Non-personalised advertising can still involve cookies or identifiers and is not automatically exempt from consent rules.

Your choices today

Your browser can block third-party cookies, clear cookies and site storage, or restrict embedded content. Clearing data may reset preferences or remove offline functionality. Blocking cookies alone does not necessarily stop an iframe sending network requests. If you prefer to avoid embedded video connections on this site, do not visit pages containing players; use the official channel directly under YouTube’s own policies.

Manage Google ad personalisation through My Ad Center and participating vendors through YourAdChoices. These are provider-level options; they do not substitute for a consent tool on this website. The website does not currently save a site-wide advertising consent choice. If features requiring consent are introduced, we will provide an interface to make, reject, and reopen those choices.
